Your profile

You have a background in typological linguistics, with a Masters or Honours degree on a related topic. Candidates with an interest in Papuan or Australian Aboriginal languages are particularly encouraged to apply, though other geographic regions will also be considered. Also desirable are data science skills (e.g. R, Python), and experience of linguistic fieldwork. Candidates should indicate in their application whether they would prefer to do a fieldwork-based or literature-based study: both are possible within the scope of this project.

You will be joining a team of outstanding language researchers, emphasising teamwork and multidisciplinarity. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential. Good oral and written communication in English is required.
